KBC: Mid-Day Meal Cook Babita Tade wins ₹ 1 Crore

Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 got it's second crorepati of the season on Thursday, September 19. Maharashtra's Babita Tade, who works as a mid-day meal cook, took home ₹1 crore. Host Amitabh Bachchan was quiet impressed by the contestant, who earns a monthly salary of ₹1,500.
In the last episode, Babita had expressed that if she won a good amount, she would like to buy a phone for herself. Big B gifted Babita a cell phone. She was quiet elated to receive the gift. After crossing the ₹3.2 lakh, Babita revealed that she also wanted to use a part of her winning amount to rebuild the Shiv temple in her area.
Babita used Ask the Expert lifeline for the ₹1 crore question. With the help of Shweta Jha, Babita answered the question correctly and won 1 crore. The question for 1 crore was: "Which poet in the court of Mughal Ruler Bahadur Shah Zafar wrote the 'Dastan-e-Ghadar', a personal account of the 1857 revolt?" The options were: A: Mir Taqi Mir, B: Mohammad Ibrahim Zauq, C: Zahir Dehlvi (the correct answer), D: Abu'l-Qasim Firdowsi.
However, she hardly took any time to decide to quit the game show when she was asked the jackpot question for 7 crore. But, when host Amitabh asked her to guess an answer, the answer was correct. The question for 7 crore was: "Which of these states has had the most number of its governors become presidents of India?" The options were: A: Rajasthan, B: Bihar (the correct answer), C: Punjab, D: Andhra Pradesh.
Babita was super happy after winning the amount. She revealed the show that the entire amount will be for her family - the kids and husband. She also shared with Big B that she would like to do what she is doing now, even if she becomes a crorepati, as she loves her work.
